Penarth Pavilion Bike Club has been set up with the aim of providing more children and young people, aged 10 – 25 with the skills, qualifications and confidence to ride their bikes more often.

They plan on running bikeability training in all three standards (further to what they may have done at school), bike maintenance (fixing punctures and putting chains back on) and teaching safe routes in the area to ride their bikes.

It’ll all start with a Bike Club Month, most likely in August, where there will be bike fixing workshops, quick and easy rides.

They are looking for adult volunteers to train as leaders (in bikeability, maintenance or road leadership) – free as the course fees would be covered by a grant. And also for children and families to take part in workshops and rides.
