Project Zero is the Vale of Glamorgan Council’s response to the climate change emergency. It brings together the wide range of work and opportunities available to tackle the climate emergency, reduce the Council’s carbon emissions to net zero by 2030 and encourage others to make positive changes.

In 2019 the Vale Council declared a climate emergency, and in 2021 they published their Climate Change Challenge Plan 2021-2030 / Executive Summary. It identifies eighteen challenges that will drive positive change including challenges on energy, waste, water, land use, transport and more.

You can find out what the Council are doing here.

So what can we all do?

We can all help take action on climate change. From the electricity we use, to the food we eat, the way we travel, and the things we buy, we can all make a difference.

The Project Zero website has lots of useful information to show what you can do to support the plan and reduce your footprint – have a look and share your ideas with us. You can also help by supporting GPG activities & projects – get in touch if you’d like to get involved!
